Warranty Policy

Aircraft Component Design hereafter referred to as ACD makes no representation or warranties concerning the material sold hereunder except as provided therein.

There are no implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for any particular use and the buyer agrees that such materials are purchased as noted.

ACD shall have good and sufficient legal title to the materials sold hereunder. ACD shall have full power and lawful authority to transfer title to the buyer. The material sold shall have no outstanding liens or other encumbrances at the time of sale.

New parts supplied by ACD are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of delivery for a period of 1 year after the install date unless otherwise denoted as expiring per shelf life requirements.

If a part is alleged to be defective in material or workmanship, ACD shall, at its sole discretion, replace the defective part at its own expense or refund credit the purchase price upon its independent recertification of the root cause for failure or rejection.

The customer is required to provide ACD with written notice of the alleged defect.  ACD’s liability is limited to crediting our invoice price of the product or at our discretion, replacement of the material, but not the cost of installation, removal or compensation for any collateral damage.

ACD reserves the right to independently verify the alleged defect prior to any reimbursement, credit or replacement. Verification may include a formal failure analysis by an independent laboratory or the part manufacturer.

Returns Policy (RMA Only)

All material returned to ACD, for any reason, must be accompanied by an approved Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Customers must obtain an RMA authorization by contacting Quality@aircraftcomponentdesign.com to describe the reason for the return. Any part found defective must have the nonconformance clearly documented on a rejection report. Once a RMA number is issued, it must be clearly shown on all packaging and paperwork included with the returned part. Merchandise to be returned must be sent by the freight carrier per the method approved on the RMA.

No Fault Found Returns

If an article is examined by ACD under a warranty claim and is found to meet all of the manufacturer’s design and test specifications, the Customer will be responsible for all costs incurred for evaluation, re-certification, and transportation charges.
