Sales Manager

Reports To:      President/CEO

Job Purpose:   This position is responsible for achieving PMA sales and profitability goals as they relate to Aircraft Component Design

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:           

  • Assist in setting PMA sales goals based on existing PMA product offering, PMA WIP and market intelligence from the field.
  • Is accountable for reaching PMA sales and profitability goals set by the organization.
  • Calls on existing and/or prospective accounts to identify PMA sales opportunities available from product offering.
  • Calls on existing and/or prospective accounts to identify new products for development.
  • Negotiate and execute PMA contracts and proactive sales efforts for the product line.
  • Work in conjunction with ACD management to identify missed opportunities available in the region based upon PMA product offering available and customer repair capabilities.
  • Coordinate PMA proposals, technical presentations and customer contracts.
  • Works with Engineering on learning new product lines, applications and possible business prospects.
  • Reporting performance, opportunities and risk to the President and V.P. of Engineering.
  • Sharing market specific information with cross functional managers (engineering, quality, etc.).
  • Provide feedback to President and V.P. of Engineering on barriers to success.
  • Provides monthly updates on sales to plan and activity taking place to achieve goals set: 1- Proactive sales actions to reach goals, 2- Key Customer short falls to plan, reasons for short fall and actions taking place to recover.


  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, and government/FAA regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Multilingual capabilities are important for some regions.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Fluent with MS Office software and other general computer applications.
  • Previous Sales experience.
  • Has solid understanding of the aviation industry.
  • Has proven negotiation skills.
  • Able to make presentations to large groups at the highest level organizational as well as one on one.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering
  • MBA degree preferred
  • Six years aerospace industry experience or
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education


Quality Engineer

Reports to: Quality Manager

Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Engineer shall develop, implement and manage the quality system to ensure adherence to ISO/AS and FAA Regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for quality system development and supporting product quality improvements
  • Performs analyses of program requirements and prepares responsive quality plans, procedures, schedules and resource allocations to assure optimum quality support
  • Reviews and approves engineering/test and contractor documentation and provides input to assure that appropriate quality requirements are addressed
  • Provides ongoing quality system support to include performing internal audits, ensuring implementation of root cause corrective actions
  • Leads product quality improvement teams, Material Review Boards and participates in Failure Review Boards
  • Evaluates and dispositions non-conforming material
  • Leads in resolving customer quality issues and driving root cause and corrective action on process and product quality issues
  • Assists in developing and deploying Statistical initiatives
  • Participates in supplier selection and improvement processes responsibilities include leading with on-site audits, evaluating prototypes, and reviewing and approving of supplier corrective actions
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer, as required
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on critical supplier selections and drives supplier continuous improvement processes Responsibilities include leading on-site audits, evaluating prototypes, and reviewing and approving of supplier corrective actions
  • Leads and executes customer quality program requirements
  • Prepares quality engineering reports and recommendations
  • Provides regular reporting of progress and status
  • Completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 plus years of experience in a program quality and/or manufacturing quality engineering capacity.
  • Defense/Aerospace experience preferred
  • Familiar with precision machining/metal removal/heat treatment/chemical treatment/metrology/NDT
  • Experience with AS9100 and ISO9001 based management systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of ERP business systems.
  • Proficient with process improvement tools such as 6 sigma, lean, statistics.
  • Excellent blue print reading skills.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective action.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members.
  • US Citizenship is required


Design Engineer

Reports To: Vice President of Engineering

Job Purpose: Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the area of responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the engineering area and the inspection areas.
  • Analyzes engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
  • Plans layouts and compound angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
  • Plans and formulates engineering projects and organizes project according to requirements.
  • Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and related specifications.
  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering change and test problems.
  • Involved and approves integration of technical activities and products.
  • Produces 3D solid models of parts and designs.
  • Involved in, and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
  • Prepares interim and completion project reports.
  • Involved in measuring parts during reverse engineering to ensure compliance with design specification
  • Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
  • Handles material review board responsibilities for Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Performs filing duties each day to include file maintenance on a regular basis.
  • Performs various clerical duties to include photocopying and typing.
  • Knowledge of FAA Regulations 


Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or equivalent and a minimum of (10) years in design or process engineering.
